Psychodidactic concept for developing communicative competence in teaching cadets Russian as a foreign language through extra-curricular reading classes at a military university

Introduction. The article analyzes the core principles of a psychodidactic concept aimed at forming components of communicative competence in cadets learning Russian as a foreign language. The purpose of the study is to examine the application of this concept in the process of extracurricular reading instruction at a military university.
Materials and methods. The object of the research is the educational process of extracurricular reading. The study is based on an analysis of the psychodidactic specificities of teaching cadets, which consider the interconnection between personal psychology and professionally oriented education.
Results. Particular attention is paid to the interaction between psychological-pedagogical aspects of developing students' individual qualities and key psychodidactic teaching principles — psycholinguistic, linguocognitive, and linguotextological.
Conclusion. The results of the analysis of this concept outline the prospects for its application in optimizing the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language and enhancing the effectiveness of communicative competence formation in military university cadets.
