Канон и подростковая литература: вопросы консенсуса в зарубежной школе

Аннотация

Введение. В статье рассматриваются подходы западной методики к внедрению в школу современной литературы для подростков (Young Adult Literature — YAL), ее место в содержании предмета «литература» и перспективы спаренного изучения канонических произведений и текстов подростковой литературы.

Актуальность. Периферийный статус подростковой литературы в современной западной парадигме претерпевает серьезные изменения: YAL претендует на системное присутствие в образовательных стандартах. В методике ситуация осложняется полемикой сторонников доминирования канона в школе и «защитников» подростковой литературы. Сложившееся противостояние канона и YAL, которое не является проблемой лишь западного литературного образования, требует аргументированных методов своего разрешения. Цель работы — сформулировать концептуальные признаки YAL на основе ее множественных характеристик, заявленных в западных исследованиях; проанализировать ее конкурентное положение по отношению к сложившемуся канону; выделить подходы к ее изучению в ситуации нарастающего присутствия современной прозы для подростков в школьном чтении.

Методы исследования. В процессе работы использовался социолого-педагогический метод (анализ методических моделей изучения YAL); культурно-исторический метод (определение культурно- исторических и социологических доминант культурных феноменов канона и YAL).

Научная новизна статьи заключается в следующем: определены причины экспансии подростковой литературы в школьную программу; интегрированно описаны характеристики YAL, принятые в западной гуманитаристике; представлены научные позиции, отстаивающие как вневременну́ю фиксацию сложившегося канона, так и его константную «текучесть»; актуализированы алгоритмы спаренного изучения YAL и классики, нивелирующие их «антагонизм».

Результаты. Статья описывает постулаты западного литературного канона, его динамику и причины интервенции подростковой литературы в школьную программу. Одновременная представленность в западной школе литературного канона и Young Adult Literature определяется автором как элемент состязательной модальности. Модальные различия отражаются в наличии институционального статуса у канонической литературы за счет ее длительного функционирования в школе и отсутствии такового статуса у современной подростковой литературы. В работе обобщаются дефинитивные характеристики YAL, описываются модели спаренного изучения литературы для подростков и классики. Один из фокусов статьи — американская школьная программа, состоящая на 95 % из канонических произведений и признаваемая в Великобритании, Канаде и еще 60 странах. Диапазон функционирования программы доводит ее до уровня общей англо-саксонской методической традиции и, следовательно, позволяет делать обобщения наднационального свойства. Хронологическая динамика присутствия канона в школьном курсе литературы подтверждается сопоставлением трех стандартов для старших классов 1963, 1988 и 2023 гг.

Заключение. Подходы современных западных методистов, отстаивающих ревизию канона и необходимость систематического чтения в школе YAL, строятся на возможности гармонизации классики и подростковой литературы в процессе спаренного изучения классического произведения и текста YAL. Основа спаренного освоения канонической и современной подростковой литературы заключается в константной интертекстуальности классики. Представление в работе полемических позиций приверженцев литературного западного канона и «школы сопротивления» приводит к выводу о начавшемся процессе «перемещения» YAL из досугового чтения школьников в ранг чтения обязательного.
