Introduction. The modern system for training elite freestyle wrestlers faces systemic problems in the management of technical and tactical training (TTT). These include insufficient individualization of the training process, the lack of a comprehensive system for monitoring training effectiveness, and the neglect of external (exogenous) factors. Existing approaches are often fragmented, which necessitates the development of new, integrative management methods. This article aims to provide a theoretical substantiation of an integrated management model for the TTT of elite freestyle wrestlers.
Materials and Methods. The research employed analysis and synthesis of contemporary scientific and methodological literature on sports training. It also applied a systems approach to model the structure and functions of the training process. The key method was the design and conceptual substantiation of a structural–functional model that integrates various aspects of athletic training.
Results. An integrated model for managing TTT was developed. The model comprises three functionally interconnected subsystems: (1) the training subsystem (responsible for the organization, planning, and implementation of the training process), (2) the monitoring and assessment subsystem (ensuring data collection, feedback, and operational adjustment at all training stages), and (3) the exogenous environmentadaptive subsystem (accounting for and mitigating the impact of external factors such as competition conditions, climate, and psychological stress). For each subsystem, the model implements a continuous cyclic management algorithm (comprising data collection, analysis, planning, implementation, and assessment), ensuring an adaptive and individualized approach.
Conclusions. The theoretical significance of the study lies in the synthesis of contemporary scientific approaches to athlete training management into a unified model. The practical value consists in providing coaches with a structured tool for enhanced individualization, stage-based management with operational adjustment, and the improvement of athletes’ resilience to external factors. Further research may involve testing and validating the proposed model in a real training practice and developing specific methodological recommendations for the implementation of each of its components.
